Ingredients

  • 280 g 2 1/4 cup flour

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon salt

  • 226 g 1 cup butter

  • 150 g 3/4 cup sugar

  • 165 g 165 brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 2 eggs

  • 340 g 2 cup Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

  • 120 g 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Beat the softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixer bowl until creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually beat in the flour mixture until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in the chocolate morsels and nuts (if using) with a spatula.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies stand on baking sheets for 2 minutes.
  • Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a chewier cookie, reduce baking time by 1-2 minutes. For crispier cookies, add 1-2 minutes.
