  • 1/2 tablespoon 1/2 tablespoon Red pepper flakes

  • 15 ml 1 tbsp Lemon juice

  • 60 ml 1/4 cup White wine

  • 60 ml 1/4 cup Chicken broth

  • 15 g 1/4 cup Parsley

  • Salt & pepper

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • cutting board

Directions

  • Cook the shrimp:
  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the sauce:
  • In the same skillet, add the white wine and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce by half, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve:
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce and mix well.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, you can add a pinch of smoked paprika to the shrimp while cooking. It enhances the dish with a subtle smokiness that pairs perfectly with the heat from the red pepper flakes.

Can I use frozen shrimp for this recipe?
