Ingrédients

  • For the Salmon:
  • 4 4 salmon fillets

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil if you’re not using an oven-safe frying pan.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and sriracha (if using). Set aside.
  • Heat the sesame oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down (if they have skin). Sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and the edges of the salmon turn golden. Flip the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • If using an oven-safe pan, brush the salmon generously with the prepared glaze, then transfer the pan to the preheated oven. If not, transfer the salmon fillets to your lined baking tray, brush with the glaze, and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • While the salmon is baking, pour the remaining glaze into a small saucepan. Add the cornstarch slurry and heat on medium until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. This step is optional but adds extra richness to the dish.
  • Remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle with the thickened glaze (if prepared). Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced spring onions, and cilantro. Serve with lemon or lime wedges for a bright, fresh touch.
