2 slices 2 slices bacon
1 slice 1 slice cheddar cheese
1 cuillère à soupe 1 cuillère à soupe milk (optional, for fluffier eggs)
Sel et poivre à volonté
1 cuillère à café 1 cuillère à café butter or oil for cooking
Equipement
Small skillet
Spatule
Couteau
Directions
- In a small skillet over medium heat, cook the slices of bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain the excess grease.
- Option 1: Fried Egg: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low, crack the egg into the pan, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Flip if you prefer the yolk cooked through.
- Option 2: Scrambled Egg: Crack the egg into a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of milk (optional), and whisk until combined. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the eggs are just set, about 2-3 minutes.
- Place the slice of cheese on the bottom half of the croissant.
- Top with the cooked bacon slices.
- Add the cooked eggs on top of the bacon.
- Place the top half of the croissant over the egg to complete the sandwich.
- Heat the sandwich (optional): If you prefer your cheese melted and the croissant warm, place the assembled sandwich back in the skillet over low heat for 1-2 minutes per side, pressing down gently with a spatula. Alternatively, you can warm it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
