Ingredients

  • 1 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast

  • 60 g 2 cup fresh romaine lettuce, chopped

  • 60 ml 1/4 cup  Caesar dressing

  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 30 g 1 cup croutons

  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons hot honey

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Cutting board et Knife
  • tongs

Directions

  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a quick marinade.
  • Coat the chicken breast in the marinade, ensuring it’s well-covered. Let it sit for 5 minutes while you prepare the other components.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken breast and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  • While the chicken is cooking, chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large bowl.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing it into strips.
  • Toss the chopped romaine with the Caesar dressing until well coated.
  • Place the dressed lettuce on a plate, top with the sliced chicken, and drizzle the hot honey over the chicken.
  • If desired, add croutons for extra crunch.

Can I make this salad ahead of time?

Yes! For meal prep, store the components separately. Keep the lettuce, dressing, and cooked chicken in separate containers in the refrigerator. Only drizzle the hot honey when you’re ready to eat to maintain the best texture and flavor. Properly stored, the components will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
